Managing your money, getting out of debt and other stupid lies (Financial literacy for the rest of us losers)
This is a free and fun financial skills class that is really like no other.
Instead of preaching at you about personal responsibility and penny-pinching, we’ll show you why the game is rigged against the little guy. And who do you think benefits? Hint: it’s the rich 😉
Through creative exercises, films and role-playing we’ll learn about how regular people help one another through financial chaos and sometimes even fight back.
This class will not teach you how to make or keep a budget, how to save for retirement (ha!) or what (not) to wear to your meeting with the bank.
You should come if you’re fed up with being in debt and worried and want to talk with others about the real reason none of us can make ends meet.
January 9, 6-9pm at the ReImagining Value Action Lab (RiVAL), rm 2002 of Lakhead’s PACI building (Law School), 401 Red River Rd.
There will be pizza!
The event is free, but please RSVP by emailing email@example.com.
Childcare subsidies and bus fare is available to all upon request.
